Our Mission 

The mission of Warm Blankets- Australia is to restore the lives of orphans in partnership with corporations, organizations and individuals who have a passion to help needy, parentless children.

Our Commitments

Building awareness of the despair faced by children around the world and the ways in which their needs can be addressed. Providing resources that meet sustained spiritual, physical, social and emotional needs of children under our care. Sharing the message of love through words and action to each child. Implementing the principle of caring for widows through involving them in our orphan care homes, when it is possible. Partnering with other organizations to maximize efficiency through specialization.  Fostering development efforts that bring about self-sufficiency of individual homes and the children raised in them. Maximizing the giving power of donors and sponsors through partnerships, matching grants and auditing programs.

Orphan Homes

With the orphan population growing in epidemic proportions, there is an enormous, immediate need for orphan care around the world.  Warm Blankets offers a fresh, dynamic approach to confront the problem, through establishing and supporting family based Orphan Homes. Each home has a family atmosphere based on love and compassion. Widows are the principal caregivers in each orphan care facility. They understand the pain each orphan faces, having experienced loss as well. We maintain a staff ratio of one caregiver for every five children, so you can be assured that a frightened child will be held and comforted by someone who cares. Each home has the capacity to house about 40 children. The homes provide beneficial, nurturing, holistic care to parentless infants, children, and adolescents.
